After graduating with the inaugural class from the College of Cape Breton in 1975, John was hired by Barrow Nicol, a firm which through a number of mergers and acquisitions has become today’s Belliveau Veinotte.
John has been in public practice continuously since graduation. In 1977, John left Barrow Nicoll’s Bridgewater office and returned to his hometown of Liverpool and joined another CA firm. After 15 years, John decided in 1992 to venture out on his own and opened his own firm in Liverpool and operated for 23 years until he merged with AC Belliveau Veinotte in December 2014.
John is extremely dedicated and knowledgeable with his work and brings expertise in personal income tax preparation and specializes in the fishing industry.
John and his wife Karen have raised a son and daughter and proudly call Liverpool their home. John has demonstrated his commitment to supporting his community his entire life and has volunteered his time and talents to various organizations and groups including: The Lions Club, Crime Stoppers, Minor Hockey, Junior Golf, Brooklyn Marina and many more.
John is excited that his merger with AC Belliveau Veinotte has allowed him time to focus on his priorities outside of his career including his grandson, wife, children, lake property, fishing, writing music, playing music and just smelling the roses.
